“Seeing the future by seeing the past” is the tagline of the Aircraft Engine History website, and I couldn’t agree more with this principle. This website has a wealth of historical information on the development of aircraft engines.
For example, you can access the historical journal of the Aircraft Engine Historical Society, as seen here, or you can simply view unique videos of aircraft engines with contra-rotating props, as seen below.
